Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison is mourning the loss of his son, Adam Harrison, following the tragic news of his death. Rick already suffered the loss of his late father, Richard ‘The Old Man’ Harrison five years ago. Now, his son has sadly passed away at the age of 39.

History Channel‘s Pawn Stars focuses on Rick Harrison, his family, and their Gold & Silver Pawn Shop based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over the years, viewers of the series will have gotten to know the thrifty reality TV star, his late father, son Corey Harrison, and Austin ‘Chumlee’ Russell. The Harrison family was notified of Adam’s untimely death on January 19, reports Today.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports: “Harrison PR rep Laura Herlovich confirmed Adam Harrison’s death was from an overdose, and he was discovered Friday.”

A statement from the family reads: “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”

Since 2009, Pawn Stars viewers have seen family man Rick running his Gold & Silver business. He’s a father-of-six, but only one of his sons appeared on-screen with him.

Rick, Corey, and his son’s childhood friend, Chumlee, have all been working together in the family business for decades. However, Rick’s late son, Adam, didn’t appear on the TV show as a cast member.
