When it comes to watching your favourite series online, the economic options are few and far between.

Many people use streaming site watchseries as their fall back option, although now it seems to have disappeared.

Here’s everything you need to know with some advice on where else you can watch series such as Luther season 5 for free.

For weeks the watchseries site has been down, leaving visitors confused as to its whereabouts.

When trying to visit the site you may have been given a notice such as ‘access to this website has been blocked’.

And that’s because it looks as if the site has been taken down.

It’s currently unknown whether the site will come back or whether it will reappear under another domain.

Of course it’s not ideal that watchseries.to has gone down, however, there are some cost-effective ways of watching your favourite shows.

Yes, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Now TV and Hayu all have a monthly fee but they all offer a 30-day free trial to test out the service.

Now, that’s a whole month of series watching for nothing!

Alternatively, YouTube and GooglePlay offer a pay-as-you-go option for watching programmes episode by episode starting from £1.99 each.

Many people are likely heading to watchseries to catch up on the latest season of Luther.

Little do they know, every episode of Luther season 5 is available to watch via BBC iPlayer.

Luther season 5 is yet to come to BBC America although it will be coming shortly. Just hang on a little longer!
