While the Love Island contestants are on the search for love, they may sometimes let slip their previous dating history while on the show.
New cast member Bennett Sipes revealed the name of his ex during last night’s episode, and fans began to put their searching skills to the test to find out more about the girl he mentioned, namely Sommer Ray. He revealed that he had previously lived with her for two years, so they seemed to be a pretty serious couple.

What happened between Bennett Sipes and Sommer Ray?
Bennett, who has recently joined the 2020 Love Island series as a new cast member, and model Sommer Ray reportedly lived together as a couple in 2018, but it is alleged that they broke up on bad terms.
He briefly referred to his ex Sommer during the show, which stunned fellow Islander Kierstan – who seemed to be familiar with who 24-year-old Instagram influencer Sommer is.
It has been alleged that in March 2018, when Sommer and Bennett were still together, that he was involved in a fight with Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Younes Bendjima.

Bennett talks about his famous ex on Love Island
The 26-year-old Islander name-dropped Sommer Ray in last night’s episode. It has been reported that Sommer has previously dated rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and actor Max Ehrich, who is now engaged to Demi Lovato.
Fans reacted to the news, with one saying: “Bennett telling Keirstan that his ex is Sommer Ray. Like is she supposed to say congratulations? I was cringing so bad.”

Sommer, from Colorado, is now allegedly dating well-known TikTok star Tayler Holder. She recently posted a video of her eating birthday cake around the same time that Bennett began searching for love in the villa.
She first grew her audience on Zine, when she began posting fitness videos. Now she is well-known for her Youtube channel and Instagram, and has over 25 million followers.
