The show starts in The Staples Center (Yes, the Staples Center) with JR taking the spot for Jerry Lawler and the arrival of the E. Stan Kroenke. Kroenke walks around and greets the fans, including "Jack Nicholson, Jerry Buss, and David Stern" before heading into the ring.
Kroenke starts by insulting the fans of the WWE in LA and in Denver. As Stan continues his tirade, Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring to confront the Nuggets Owner.
Vince announces that he’s starting a new basketball league, the XBA, but he thinks that it will be a failure because he’s going to let KSE run the organization. He tells everyone what the ‘E’ stands for Enos! He then tells him that he has Enos Envy.
He then defends the WWE Universe and tells him that we push back as he shoves Enos out of the ring. As Vince prepares to leave, The Miz comes out and tells the Lakers that he’s from the city where the real champions reside…and reveals a LeBron James jersey.
As The Miz continues to trash talk John Cena, Cena makes his way down to the ring. After an ambush by The Legacy, Batista makes his way down, as well as The Big Show.
Then Jerry Lawler comes down and rescues them before Cena and Batista send Big Show packing.
In the back, Kelly and Maryse head down to the ring for their Divas Championship Match. After a brief look at last week’s Divas Battle Royal, Kelly Kelly hits the ring.
Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse for the Divas Championship
After a game of “anything you can do…” Maryse shows her arrogance in not taking Kelly Kelly seriously. After slamming her face into the mat, she slaps her opponent, but Kelly turns the tide and nails a clothesline before hitting the springboard elbow and dropkick. She then mounts Maryse and lays some punches down.
On the outside, Maryse shows her vicious streak by pounding on her challenger. After she shoves her over the announcers table, she rolls back in the ring…just to get disqualified for her actions.
After the bell, Kelly returns into the ring and drops the Divas Champion to prove that she isn’t done with her yet.
Back on the show, “Jack Nicholson” is putting the moves on the Bella Twins when they pass Goldust and Hornswoggle. After their version of the infamous scene from "A Few Good Men," Jack and the Twins head off for a night on the town.
In the locker room, Ric Flair is preparing for his confrontation with Orton before Batista comes in and tries to talk him out of it once again. But despite his protest, Batista is unable to reach the Nature Boy.
No. 1 Contender’s Match for the WWE United States Championship Matt Hardy vs. William Regal vs. Kofi Kingston
Hardy nurses his injury on the outside as Regal and Kingston battle in the ring. Regal has control of the match until a set of knees drops Regal not once but twice.
Following a Jamaican Leg Sweep, Kingston goes for the Boom Leg Drop before getting ambushed by Matt Hardy.
As Hardy gets control, the United States Champion makes his way to ringside for a “closer” look at the three men vying for a shot at his gold.
Back on the program, Regal has control of Kofi with a full nelson. Regal and Hardy try to get the pinfall, but Regal gets control by using Hardy’s own cast against him.
After Regal is dispatched out of the ring, Hardy gets control with a neck breaker, but Regal returns to break up the pinfall. As Hardy rolls out in pain, Kingston hits the missile dropkick on Regal.
He then focuses his attention on Hardy with the Jamaican Leg Drop. Regal comes in and drops him with a T-Bone before getting dropped with a Side Effect from Hardy. Hardy drops another one on Kofi before focusing on Regal.
Kingston nails a pair of Trouble in Paradise to get the pinfall on Hardy and earn a shot at the United States Championship next week on RAW against MVP.
In the back, Ric Flair is heading to the ring to confront Randy Orton.
Intermission: Ric Flair-Randy Orton collide
Following a recap of last week’s main event, we are graced with the arrival of the 16-Time World Champion! No stranger to confrontation, he wastes no time in calling out Orton.
And Orton wastes no time in coming out and backing down from the challenge. Orton then insults Flair and tells him that it’s over. When Orton gets in the ring, Flair slaps the taste out of his mouth before being ambushed.
Batista comes down for the rescue. Orton then tells Batista that after Extreme Rules, his career will be done too.
With that, Kennedy makes a surprise appearance to Los Angeles. He then announces that he will be making his return tonight as the fifth member of Team Lakers.
In other words, the fifth member will be MISTERRRRRRRR KENNEDY!!!!! KENNEDY!!!!!!!
Special Stipulation Match Santino and Mickie James vs. Chavo and Beth Phoenix
Chavo wastes no time as he drops Santino with a pair of European Uppercuts. Following a back suplex and quick pinfall, Chavo goes back to work on the Italian Stallion before throwing him in the corner to get attacked by Santino’s ex-girlfriend.
But Santino is able to duck the splash and bring in Mickie. Mickie drops her with a dropkick, but Santino manages to distract Beth enough to allow Mickie to hit the roll up and get the pinfall victory for Santino.
Before Santino can announce the stipulation, Queen Vickie comes out and tell Santino that Chavo will be in her corner. He then informs her that it will be…a Hogpen Match at Extreme Rules.
In the back, Big Show informs The Miz that he better not pin John Cena. The Miz pops off a quick insult before running scared when Show turns around to confront him. Following a recap of how the show opened, Goldust returns to the ring.
Goldust & Hornswoggle vs. The Brian Kendrick & Festus
As The Colons watch on, Kendrick comes down with Festus…in a Clippers jersey. Festus and Hornswoggle stare at each other before Kendrick comes in and shoves Hornswoggle down. He then delivers a big boot to the little guy before Hornswoggle delivers a DDT and tags in Goldust.
The Bizarre One comes in swinging. After a Tadpole Splash by Hornswoggle, Goldust hits the Final Cut to get the win for his team.
After the bell, Kendrick goes for a steel chair to punish his partner for the night, but thanks to The Colons, Festus comes out of his comatose state and goes after Kendrick.
Five on Five Main Event Team Denver Nuggets (The Miz, Legacy, Randy Orton & Big Show) vs. Team LA Lakers (Batista, MVP, John Cena, Jerry Lawler & Mr. Kennedy)
Jerry Lawler starts things off with Cody Rhodes as Lawler gets the upper hand before Batista comes in and drives a shoulder into the midsection of Rhodes. Batista then brings in MVP to continue the assault. But Rhodes gets the upper hand thanks to a clothesline before tagging in Ted DiBiase.
MVP gets ambushed by Big Show and Randy Orton before getting tossed by the ring. Orton has MVP in a headlock before RAW takes its final commercial break.
Back on RAW, DiBiase has a reverse chinlock on MVP before hitting a jawbreaker to break the hold. The Miz comes in and stops the tag attempt. He then applies another chinlock to the US Champion.
MVP bounces back with a belly-to-belly throw before tagging in Kennedy! Kennedy hits the Packerhouse before setting up for the GB Plunge before Orton provides enough distraction for Legacy to keep Kennedy at bay.
Back in the ring, Orton returns into the ring to continue the punishment on Kennedy. Orton then tags in the World’s Largest Bra comes in to continue the punishment. Show uses his huge hands to keep Kennedy on the ground before tagging in Cody Rhodes, who tags in Ted DiBiase.
The duo make numerous tags before The Miz comes in to continue the mugging. The Fagalier (aka The Miz) comes in and applies a headlock before DiBiase comes in taunts the Green Bay native.
Orton comes in and continues the assault with a boot that shoves Kennedy down to the mat. After a pair of pinfall attempts, Orton follows suit and applies a reverse chinlock.
Kennedy counters a headlock into a back suplex and tags in John Cena. Cena delivers the Beantown Bomb, and he and MVP hit a pair of elbows. MVP hits the Playmaker on Rhodes to get the pin.
Then all hell breaks loose as DiBiase hits the Sleeper Slam, Kennedy hits the Mic Check, Orton hits the RKO and Batista and Cena deliver a double suplex to the 500-Pound Big Show as Team Lakers celebrate the victory over the Nuggets as RAW goes off the air.
